Recording on your Wave - Interactive (FlowOS)

Updated on

You can record your live streams locally through either a compatible SD card via the SD card slot on the top of your Wave or to a USB drive through the USB port on the bottom of your Wave.

This allows you to have a backup copy of your broadcast that is free from any potential video dropouts due to internet connection or platform issues.

The quality of your recording is tied to the quality settings of your broadcast.

Prepare Your Media and Event Configuration

First insert your chosen media and power on your Wave.

Create an Event or choose an existing Event and enter its Configure page.

Tap on Recording Settings and tap Enabled.

Tap the dropdown menu for Drive and choose the attached media you wish to record to.

Tap the Recording Name field to enter a recording file name (required).

Tap the Format dropdown menu and select a recording format between MP4, MKV and Transport Stream.

Under the Auto-Record, tap Enable to have recording start when you begin streaming. If disabled, you will have to start recording manually from the Event Main Screen.

To eject your media safely, tap the Eject button before removing the media.

Tap Format button to format your media. This will erase all data currently on the card.

Recording

Tap the upper right X to return to the Event page.

Then tap the Record button to manually begin recording if Auto-Record is disabled. When Auto-Record is enabled, recording will automatically begin when broadcasting begins.
