Prism encoders now support Multi-Track Audio encoding, enabling you to embed up to 16 digital audio channels on SDI or 8 on HDMI into multiple tracks.
By default, the Prism supports one track containing Mono, Stereo, 5.1, or 7.1 channel audio. Enabling Multi-Track allows multiple audio tracks to be encoded from the same 8 channels on multiple audio tracks. Depending on your needs, these tracks can be encoded as Mono, Stereo, 5.1, or 7.1.
Mono: Highest bitrates per audio track-channel.
Stereo: Industry Standard for music
You can switch between audio tracks directly in the Prism Decoder web UI. Multi-Track Audio configuration is available on Prism Encoders and Decoders in Next-Gen or Standard Mode and can be applied to point-to-point, or Core Cloud streaming.
