Prism's web UI Maintenance menu offers a comprehensive suite of tools to manage essential system functions, including factory resets, upgrading firmware, and generating detailed diagnostic reports.

• SYSTEM INFO - Displays Prism’s model and serial number, along with the following configurable options:
  • Restart Encoding Service: Restart the encoding process in your Prism device
  • Restart Decoding Service: Restart the decoding process in your Prism device
  • Force Restart Codec Services: Restart the encoding and decoding services without restarting the device.
  • Reboot Device: Restart Prism
• FIRMWARE - Check for new updates and upgrade Prism’s firmware to the latest version. If an update is available, simply follow the prompts to complete the firmware update. You can also install a firmware update file manually.
• FACTORY RESET - Restore Prism's Broadcast, Network, or All Settings to their original state.
• DIAGNOSTICS - Generate or delete diagnostic reports for any encoder, decoder, or modem. Diagnostic reports can be used by Teradek’s support team to assist during troubleshooting.
  • Sync with Core: When enabled, all generated diagnostics will automatically upload to the connected Core account. This setting is enabled by default. 

Diagnostics are located under the System tab in your Core account along with the firmware version (see below).

• UTILITIES - Select tools like speed tests and ping tests to assess the device's network performance, ensuring optimal connectivity and stream stability.
  • Test Type: Speed Test: Assesses the device’s upload speed and overall network bandwidth performance.
  • Test Type: Ping: Test the network connection between the encoder and a remote server or device, measuring latency and assessing the stability of the connection.
  • Interface: Select a connected network's interface to test
• EVENT HISTORY SETTINGS - Allows you to view and manage recorded events, providing a detailed log of system activities and alerts
  • Data Collection: Enable or disable event data collection
  • Sync with Cloud: Sync device history with Core or Teradek TV
