How to Launch a Replacement Server

After clicking "Launch Replacement Server," a new server in the same region will be created automatically.

When launching a Replacement Hyperion Server, you will have up to 48 hours to transfer devices from the old to the new server.

When launching a Replacement Helios server, the ingest settings for the new Helios server will change due to the assignment of a new IP address. Please make sure to reconfigure any devices you use to ingest the video feed to the new Helios server within the next 48 hours.

Please note that the server outputs for both Hyperion and Helios servers will change, as the new servers will be assigned new IP addresses.

After 48 hours, the old server will be automatically terminated (but you can also delete it manually once you have reconnected all of the devices to the new server). If this is a billed server, then during this transition period you are billed only for one server.

To launch a replacement server, please follow these steps:

  • Go to Core >> Servers tab.
  • Click the 'Launch Replacement Server' button on your server:
  • Confirm in the pop-up window that you want to launch a replacement server:
  • Wait for the new server to launch:
