Configuration for Priority Data

Configuring Priority Data on Teradek Prism Devices

  1. Insert your SIM into the Prism Mobile or Node device.
  2. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
  3. Depending on which hardware you have, you have a couple of options
    • Prism Mobile and Node II- Select which slot you inserted your sim into.
    • Prism Mobile MK II / 5G / Node 5G - Move the slot to slot II/Physical slot
    • Node IIv2 - Slot 1
  4. If it's not already selected, Select Teradek Priority Data from the Configuration drop-down menu
  5. If it's not already selected, Click the Auto Carrier tab, then click Save.

Custom Carrier Locking

For multicarrier U.S. only (and custom sims given by Teradek)

1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using 
3. Select Teradek Priority Data from the Configuration drop-down menu.
4. Click the Carrier Lock tab.

Click the Carrier Lock Tab and Select your SIM Type (U.S. Multi-Carrier is primarily the only one that is sold for priority data) and then select your Carrier

Third-Party Modems

The Priority Data sim typically comes in native carrier which will work in most devices without configuration.   However,  in the case of devices without automatic carrier recognition or if you are using the Multi-Carrier SIM, you must enter in an APN.

Data Roaming (Multi-Carrier SIM): on

 

For Verizon, the modem chipset must be certified with Verizon to load the proper PDP context settings.
