TRT is available using the Next-Gen encoder/decoder pipelines available in Prism. TRT has two connection types: Server (Listener Mode) or Client (Caller Mode). When the connection type is set to Server, the encoder waits for the client (decoder) to connect and pull the stream from it. When the connection type is set to Client, the encoder pushes video to a single destination IP address on a specific port. Select “Next-Gen” from the codec mode options on your encoder and decoders Input/Encoding and Output/Decoding pages.
Encoder Setup
1. On the Encoder's web UI, navigate to the Input/Encoding menu and select Next-Gen as the Encoder Mode. Click Save.
2. Navigate to the Streaming Settings menu and select TRT as the Stream Mode. NOTE: Ensure that the Connection Mode is set to Client.
3. Enter the Decoder’s host IP address in the Host field, then change the Host Port value, if needed (default is 5000). Click Save.
Decoder Setup
1. On the Decoder's web UI, navigate to the Output/Decoding menu and select Next-Gen as the Decoder Mode. Click Save.
2. Navigate to the Ingest Settings menu and select TRT as the Ingest Mode. NOTE: Ensure that the Connection Mode is set to Server.
3. Ensure the Source/Listening Port value matches the value configured on the Encoder (default is 50000). Click Save.
