Some network administrators may ask for the Media Access Control (MAC) Address assigned to the device's wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter. 

This can be requested to grant an exception in bypassing a Captive Portal setup, or it may be required so that the device can connect to a corporate, government, or other public venue's network.

• The MAC address is different from the IP address which the device receives after it successfully connects to the network.
• The MAC address is different unique for the separate Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, so be sure to give the network administrators the correct MAC address based on how the device will be connecting to the network. Use the Ethernet MAC address if making a wired connection, and the Wi-Fi MAC address if making a wireless connection.
• Also, all devices have unique MAC addresses, so you cannot provide the MAC address for a different device such as a computer or tablet, or another Teradek device. You must provide the MAC address of the specific device which will be making.

The Ethernet or Wi-Fi MAC address is found using the the front panel display and built-in menu buttons or the Web User Interface on the device.

You can use the built-in menu buttons and display on Cube, Bond or Slice encoders to find the current IP address for the Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections.

The black and red buttons are 5 way directional buttons which move up, down, left, right, and can also be pressed in to select the currently highlighted item.

1. Press the Menu joystick, scroll down to Network Setup, and select Wired or WiFi. 
2. Select Status, and scroll down using the Menu joystick to highlight the MAC address. The text will scroll left and right to display the full MAC address once it is highlighted.

1. Log in to the device's Web UI with the instructions in this article.
2. Select Network Interfaces, then select Wired or WiFi. The corresponding MAC address is shown for each network interface.
