How to find the Ethernet or Wi-Fi IP address of the 600 / 700 series Cube, Bond or Slice

Overview

The Ethernet or Wi-Fi IP address is found using the the front panel display and built-in menu buttons on the 600 or 700 series Cube, Bond or Slice.

The black and red buttons are 5 way directional buttons which move up, down, left, right, and can also be pressed in to select the currently highlighted item.

If you have reset your Cube to factory defaults, refer to this article for information on default IP addresses.

Ethernet

Method 1

  1. Press the Menu joystick, scroll down to Network Setup, and select Wired. The IP address is shown for the Ethernet interface. 
  2. (optional) Select Status, and scroll down using the Menu joystick to highlight the IP address. The text will scroll left and right to display the full IP address once it is highlighted.

Method 2

When the Cube is at the main screen and not already within a menu, press down (not inward) on the black Menu button repeatedly to cycle through different status messages. The Ethernet IP address will be shown after the Eth: text.

Wi-Fi

Method 1

  1. Press the Menu joystick, scroll down to Network Setup, and select WiFi. The IP address is shown for the Wi-Fi interface. 
  2. (optional) Select Status, and scroll down using the Menu joystick to highlight the IP address. The text will scroll left and right to display the full IP address once it is highlighted.

Method 2

When the Cube is at the main screen and not already within a menu, press down (not inward) on the black button repeatedly to cycle through different status messages. The Wi-Fi IP address will be shown after the WiFi: text.

NOTE: changes to the IP address or other network settings will not be automatically reflected on the menu display. Wait 10 to 15 seconds after changing network settings before checking the current value to ensure the information is up to date.
