How to Mount an NFS Server on a Cube for Video Recording

Updated on

You can record whatever video signal you input into your Cube to shared network storage. For example, you can record to a NAS (network access storage) server on a local network if your NAS supports NFS.

To mount your NFS server onto your Cube for video recording, you’ll need to log into your Cube’s web user interface (web UI).

Before you mount your server to the Cube, you will need to set up NFS sharing and permissions on your NAS and acquire its Host IP number or domain as well as the Share folder’s names. Please refer to the manuals for your individual NAS devices to set up NFS and acquire the Host and Share information.

Log into the Cube web UI and click on Recording on the side bar.

Make sure the Enable Recording button is active, then click on Mount Network Share.

In the window that appears, enter the Host and Share information and click Mount.

Your share folder will appear under the Media dropdown and be automatically selected to record to.
