Teradek User Guide

Configurations for Teradek Data

Updated on

On Prism devices, or most devices supporting Node II, you can press the Teradek Data button, and the APN and carrier locking features will become available.  To use Node I devices, Teradek must pre-customize the sims to operate in a limited capacity.

When using non-Teradek Data-enabled devices, you must configure APN.

Auto Carrier

1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
3. Click the Teradek Data checkbox, then select Auto Carrier.

Carrier Lock

1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
3. Click the Teradek Data checkbox, then select Carrier Lock.

4. Select the SIM and Carrier type.

Custom Carrier Locking PLMN

If the included PLMN carrier is not working, try another PLMN in your location by selecting Carrier Lock and then SIM type as custom.  Find your PLMN here.

  1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
  2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
  3. Click the Teradek Data checkbox, then select Multi-Carrier.
  4.  Select Custom for the SIM type, then enter the PLMN.

Using Non-Teradek Modems

Teradek Data can work on your non-Node II devices. However, feature sets may be limited.

  • To do any eSIM changes, your device must support BIP, or the SIM needs to be pre-configured from a Node II device (we can do this for you).
  • Carrier locking is not supported.

Tier 1 Data APNs

To use Tier 1 data, the SIM requires a certain APN.  We will provide these on purchase.
