Configurations for Teradek Data

On Prism devices and most devices supporting Node 5G/Node II, you can select Teradek Data and Auto or Carrier locking features will become available.  To use Node I devices, Teradek must pre-customize the sims to operate in a limited capacity. When using non-Teradek Data-enabled devices, you must configure APN.

Configurations via Web UI

Teradek Data Standard - Auto Carrier

1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
2. Select the slot with the SIM you will use (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
3. Select Teradek Data Standard from the Configuration drop-down menu.
4. Click the Auto Carrier tab, then click Save.

Teradek Data Standard - Carrier Lock

1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
3. Select Teradek Data Standard from the Configuration drop-down menu.
4. Click the Carrier Lock tab.

5. Select the SIM and Carrier type.

Custom Carrier Locking PLMN

If the included PLMN carrier is not working, try another PLMN or find your PLMN here.

  1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
  2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2). 
  3. Select Teradek Data Standard from the Configuration drop-down menu, then click the Carrier Lock tab.
  4.  Select Custom for the SIM type, then enter the PLMN.

Using Non-Teradek Modems

Teradek Data can work on your non-Node II devices. However, feature sets may be limited. 

  • To do any eSIM changes, your device must support BIP, or the SIM needs to be pre-configured from a Node II device (we can do this for you).
  • Carrier locking is not supported.

Teradek Data Tier 1

Teradek Data Tier 1 allows you to join your carrier's private networks. 

1. From the web UI, navigate to the Network menu and select the corresponding Modem.
2. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
3. Select Teradek Data Tier 1 from the Configuration drop-down menu.

4. Select your carrier from the Carrier drop-down menu, then click Save.

Configurations via Core

Teradek Data Standard - Auto Carrier

1. From the Core dashboard, select your device.
2. Click the gear icon to open the device configuration menus.

3. Click the Network tab and select the corresponding Modem.

4. Click the gear icon to open the Modem configuration menus.

5. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
6. Select Teradek Data Standard from the Configuration drop-down menu.

7. Select Auto Carrier, then click Apply.

Teradek Data Standard - Carrier Lock

1. From the Core dashboard, select your device.
2. Click the gear icon to open the device configuration menus.

3. Click the Network tab and select the corresponding Modem.

4. Click the gear icon to open the Modem configuration menus.

5. Select the slot with the SIM you will be using (Slot 1 or Slot 2).
6. Select Teradek Data Tier 1 from the Configuration drop-down menu, then select Carrier Lock.

5. Select the correct SIM and Carrier type, then click Apply.
